Seiko arnie

This was my valentines present this year!

I think it’s really cool, really 80s tactical looking. Also found a blog that mentions that it was issues to some rangers and SEALS unit back in the days. Doesn’t get much cooler than that.

It is also my first ever actual Bond watch.

For those who don’t know, The Arnie was actually worn by Moore in the opening scene of A view to a kill!

I have already ordered a couple of 22mm natos to play around with.

What does everyone think about the arnie?

Cool present! One of the only Seiko reissues that actually looks better than the original imo. These are most famous for being worn by Arnold Schwarzenegger in films such as Commando & Total Recall

Yep, cool one. Wish wifey would make me such presents. But to be honest, my only wish is health these days. I enjoy every little minute with my missus and my paw

Back to arnie: one of the meanest looking seikos out there. Have much love for it

Always nice to learn a little history and I didn’t know that this was ever a Bond watch as the whole Arnie thing seems to drown every thing else.

Love that it wears way smaller than its case size suggests - thankfully as my wrists aren’t large.

Yeah my wrist is about 6.75/7 inches and the watch fits nicely!

Wow never seen this PADI version before! Is that the original bracelet? Looks really cool

Good spot on the bracelet. Definitely not the original. That’s a fairly chunky engineer. Actually I now have it on a “tyre tread” rubber strap which is really comfortable and a little less chunky than the Seiko rubber strap it came on. All works really well given only 16.75cm wrist.

P.s. tortoise shell cat looks gorgeous

This one will always be on my list; until I get it. I have to have it. The action history associated is so fun, and it also happens to look cool too.

Enjoy!

You know what, I thought a nato would have made the watch unwearable as it is already a chunky boy. But in reality the proportion of height added by a nato strap is almost negligible to my surprise.

The cat is 50% ragdoll (mum) 50% Maine coon (dad) and that’s the result ahaha

To me it beats hands down any g shock. It’s just as thought but a lot cooler, more iconic, and it has more history to it
