This Atowak watch is a thoughtful gift to the AMCHPR collection, provided by David Chang/Chang Wei, Academy Member and jurist at The Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève, and a well regarded authority on time keeping history and industry.
(David wrote the India and the Far East section of A General History of Horology, taking China to 1900, while Jon Ward and I wrote the Modern China section).
He's has been a very supportive host to me in Beijing, not just this year, and this watch will always be a reminder of David's very kind heart. He's helped me meet many wonderful people, and I'm hugely grateful.
With David and friends, Beijing Sept 17th

I owned one for a few days. The quality was excellent, I loved the design, but they got the size horribly wrong. It is far too big and far too deep
That is an odd looking creature. Probably way too big for me. Interesting structure on the ”dial”. A true conversation starter👍

I owned one for a few days. Very well made, great design, but the size of a small house, and that's why I sold it
