1970s Dongfeng ST5 and 1970s Sea-Gull ST6 & more...

The watches are a kind gift from Ms. Su Ting, a senior instructor at the Tianjin Modern Vocational and Technical College, seen here in this photo, from my visit to the Horology Department of the College on September 13, this year.

The College will get an AMCHPR article, along with Mr. Li, but here's one photo from the school.

It was handy having the correct case back wrench in the collection: from a Tianjin Factory set of caseback wrenches, I love ST5s

Ms. Su gifted the Dongfeng "East Wind" ST5 along with an ST6 ladies watch

The tiny ST6 has been a huge success for Tianjin Sea-Gull, in many variations, and for decades. Wrench from the same factory set. A knowledgeable Chinese collector told me the ST6 wrench is especially rare in the wild.

Great article, thanks for sharing

Very cool. Interring work space with the padded arm desk, and the edged dado to keep parts from rolling away, lots of light. Looks ideal. I like the wrenches too.

What a cool experience, and such handsome pieces. I really like that strap pairing too.

Really cool, wish all watches you buy would come with the right tool 😅. Looking forward to the article.
