Kicked off this year with a heavy hitter and probably my only purchase this year, the Patek Phillipe World timer 5110G-001.

Since early of my collecting journey, world timer has always been my favourite complication and in my opinion, no one makes them better than Patek.

The fact that Patek was able to produce a world timer in a 37mm case and less than 10mm thick truly impressed me.

Over the years, there was countless times that I was thinking of getting an “alternative” from Farer, Federique Constant or Omega (which is too big for my wrist). But thank god i was patient enough.

My one and only problem is that I haven’t been able to take it off my wrist for a few days, if the wife doesn’t talk to me anymore dont count…

Wow, congrats 🍾!! Absolutely stunning timepiece. World timers are indeed a class unto themself and Patek knows how to do a really good one. Can imagine this one won’t leave your wrist any time soon. I have scrolled up to and zoomed in on the thing three times already while writing this - would be gazing at it all day if it were on my wrist :)
