What's a watch that you'll never let go of

My good friend just gifted this to me and it's hard to put into words how much it means.

So I'm curious, what is a watch that you can never let go of and why?

Gift G-Shocks are forever, mine would be the Concord Saratoga mom gifted me, we don't always see eye to eye but we both have an mutual respect and fascination to watches and it's become our favorite thing to get excited about

Any watch that would be gifted by my wife, my parents or someone I really love.

Or inherited ones, although I don’t have one.

Others, as much as good or expensive as the watch is, I don’t care.

I've got several, I'm at that consolidation stage where I'm aiming for a small collection of keepers. Stand out sentimental watches are my Grail, SM300heritage bought partly with inheritance from my Mum, my Aqua Terra quartz (was Dad's but he doesn't wear it) and my green Willard bought for me by my lovely Mrs.

All of my core collection. I'm not into this to catch and release. I take time researching before buying to try and understand what I like for the long term. I plan for my kids to inherit my watches.

I've answered this a number of times on WC and I'm happy to answer it again. My 1967 birth year watch that was an 18th birthday present that I've worn for nearly 40 years.

I will let you know in about 2 months, I plan on going to Japan to celebrate my 50th birthday and hopefully picking up a watch while there.

Besides family watches it would be my Zelos Skyraider 2 Ti Teal. Only 75 made.

My Casio Edifice, I bought this a year after my brother's passing on his birthday in 2015. It has been a great companion and I think of him when I wear it. I have many watches but, would gladly give those up if I had to make a choice.

That is a story that nobody can deny

I don't think I've seen that G-Shock before. Good color combination. In my case, I think the watch I've had since childhood is the one I won't give up. It was also a gift.

It's one of the recently released lume dial ones.

But that is so cool that you've had that watch for so long
