Hello all, I purchased this circa 1960s automatic Cyma 'Navy Star' watch today.
It's in great condition for its age including original crown, except for the crystal as it is heavily scratched. So far it is running very well.
I'm eager to hear your thoughts what do those numbers mean? If anyone knows that would be great to know.

Very nice. Love these seemingly simple 60s threehanders. Solid design, with cross hairs even! Congrats! Which numbers do you mean btw?
Thank you! Last image there are numbers on the case.

Perhaps a date engraving from the previous owner(s)? Engraving the case wasnt common practice back in the day unless it was on the caseback

My first thought was serial number. To date it like case number one number , year of manufacturer, and dial type something like that perhaps, its in the same position that Rolex used for a while for there serial numbers between the lugs.

Ah! That pic somehow did not show up on my phone. I think it’s a serial number - but which you’d expect in the caseback; see pic below of another Cyma (note the similar syntax of the numbers: 2-2508-6)
