62MAS Re edition SJE093 - sold my BB54 get this one

and so far not regretting it. Well finished watch and in my (still early days) view, a more interesting watch.

BB54 certainly wins on movement and bracelet/strap, but SJE comes out on top everywhere else. Then again, it’s all subjective and both watches could happily live together in a collection (unfortunately limited by funds)

Have a great watch day!

Lovely Seiko looks great 👌

Well done for picking what you want rather than succumbing to the brand hype

·

I whole heartedly agree with your decision. That’s a grail watch there. Congrats 👏🏻

·

The SJE093 is a beauty indeed! And the 6L37 movement is proving to be a fantastic and accurate movement. Congrats!

·

That’s a lovely watch. I’m a big fan of the 62 mas recreations and the higher end ones are phenomenal yours is closer to the original than mine and id love to add one . Enjoy 😊

Picked up one of these last week. Thinking of adding a bracelet as I have too many rubber strappers

Congrats! Not an easy watch to get a suitable bracelet for but the SLA017 had a bracelet if I am not mistaken. I just ordered an ARTEM sailcloth strap for mine.

Love that dial and wasn’t familiar with this specific model. Will certainly check it out.

It’s a SLA 065 one of my favourite watches. out of all the watches I’ve owned only my speedmaster ranks above it

·

What made you pick this over the SPB line? Just curious.

SPB range is great but I felt that the level of finish is higher on the SJE and was looking for something that stuck closer to the 62MAS.

I did the same thing - sold my BB58 to get it. This is just a special watch and I definitely enjoy wearing it more.

·

Congrats !

I’m a lucky owner of one of these too. What do you think of the strap? The movement is actually quite solid I think I get around +5 seconds a day at most

Here’s my SLA043 paired with 20mm Tropical strap from Zuludiver. The OEM waffle strap is way too stiff. Tried a few strap options and ended up with this. Love how it looks like a modernized recreation of the classic tropic strap. And the bonus is it works with the original Seiko buckle.

Movement is pretty accurate so far and regarding the strap; it gets a lot of bad feedback on the forums but I don’t see it and love the OEM strap. Very comfortable. Seems the same type of strap as came with my SLA043 which I sold eventually.

I agree, the strap is great in my opinion. The only thing I don't like was the metal keeper that already left scratches on the edge of the buckle during transit, I also realized the keeper can hit the case back as well. I never understood why Seiko did that. I quickly swapped it out with a matching Tropic style FKM keepers. I am a little more ocd with this one since it's got that "not-so"super hard coating so it can't be refinished.
