Hi crunchers👋

My first post here. Just learning on how to use the app. About the pic, it's a wristshot of my friend's father's old watch that he sold to me broken and I "restore" it pretty recently.

Quick tip: If you're wondering "why my wristshots makes the watch sits bigger on my wrist", just take pic of it from a mirror and you'll see a more accurate wristshot to how you and other people see it in real life.

Welcome Cruncher!

Welcome to WC. That's an interesting trick with the mirror and new to me. I've found that if you hold the camera farther away from the watch it can minimize the look of a huge watch on your wrist, but I guess that's what the mirror is doing.

Thank you. You're right, but I found it awkward holding my phone or camera so far from my wrist😁. The mirror trick makes it so much easier for me personally. I guess I can play with different lenses with different focal point but that's another thousand and thousand of dollars😆.

Hello new Cruncher!! Interesting way to take watch photos. I will have to try it. Maybe if my results are good you will see them in WRUW.

Welcome, great photo and tip. I assume you can then flip it in a photo editor so it reads right?

Welcome!

That's a very interesting tip, I'm gonna try it.

Welcome!

The shorter focal length (wide angle) lenses used on cellphone cameras tend to stretch objects and create a "fish eye" effect. Can also try taking a photo from further away and cropping in after.

Hi, thank you max. That's one way of doing it, but I find it awkward to hold my phone so far away from my wrist to get rid of the fish eye effect.
