I freakin’ love vintage Omegas

I’m about half a decade into watches as a hobby right now and I’ve really fallen in love with vintage watches. Omegas in particular have really caught my eye.

I think they are a great way for people to get their wrists on a high-end brand with classic, versatile style — and at an affordable price in most cases.

I have two so far — a 1965 Seamaster De Ville and a 1979 De Ville.

Vintage Omega is indeed best Omega. If their current offerings had as much appeal, I'd be in trouble.

There's an understated class to them. In a room full of bling and bezels the guy wearing the 60s Seamaster is a cut above. I'll get a birthyear reference at some point.

Great, now I am missing this one again.

Edit: You may want to check the date on that 1971 Seamaster Deville. That model was discontinued in 1966 or 1967 (although some presentation watches were sold after that).

Wow thanks for flagging this. I have no idea where I got that year stuck in my head. I just reached out to the person I bought it from (OmegaAddict, highly recommend this guy) to see if he has a record. He just got back to me that it's actually from 1965.

I saw the Arabic numerals and knew that mine was later than yours. He knows. He gets my Omega next (if I ever get it back).
