I buy watches to wear and enjoy them. By doing so, it's inevitable to attract some scruffs and scratchs. The experience of wearing and looking at the watches are what I like, few scratches here and there don't bother me much now. I used to be more concerned when I was newer into watches. Below is from one of my watches, similar situation to yours. No regrets though.
It'll be a different story for dealers/flippers who want to sell for profit.

I've both GS and Omega watches, love them both. GS is more interesting in my opinion, I would spend more time appreciating its craftsmanship.
However, Omega might be better suited for your first big ticket watch purchase, unless you prefer understatement. Try both out and follow your heart!
