Question about G-Shock

I purchased a g-shock back in 2012 or thereabouts. It was supposed to sync to some atomic clock or something like that. But when I took it to Paris that year, it wouldn't change time regardless of my efforts. I just threw it in the trash.

Have others had similar issues? Is this a former problem that has been fixed?

Threw it in the trash!?

I have to view each post with a keen awareness of today's date.

The atomic clock setting doesn’t work in every country. I’m in Australia and it doesn’t work here so that may have been the reason yours didn’t work.

You do what? 🥶

Wasn’t the watches fault. User error. You still have to tell the watch what time zone you’re in.

Wow.

Just Wow!!

I bet that G-Shock is in a landfill right now still keeping time 😂

I hope someone found it and is still wearing it, with a great story of how they just found it in the trash. Also, if you threw it away then why be concerned if there is a possible solution to fix it?

This is an episode from Seinfeld.🤣

If someone found my watch in France it would do them little good. I was there for a month with one watch that was consistently off by 6 hours. Since then, I've gotten into the hobby but still have a bad taste in my mouth about s watch I cannot set manually if it doesn't work as advertised abroad. I was just wondering if they'd fixed the problem.
