If someone found my watch in France it would do them little good. I was there for a month with one watch that was consistently off by 6 hours. Since then, I've gotten into the hobby but still have a bad taste in my mouth about s watch I cannot set manually if it doesn't work as advertised abroad. I was just wondering if they'd fixed the problem.
Next time you're there check out Mont Blanc. Also Macy's has a good mid-level selection. But you may have that locally.
