I was so confused until you explained why it might disturb a Christian. There's a lot of Christian imagery that has no basis in the Bible and this is one of them.
This sent me down a research rabbit trail. Apparently the earliest depiction of the devil with a pitchfork/trident dates back to the 10th century and might be on Muiredach's High Cross.
Satan is being depicted as herding the damned away from Jesus. The trident as a symbol associated with the devil is an interesting European cultural artifact and really doesn't have an origin in canonical Christian literature.
All of that to say, no, it wouldn't stop me from buying that watch.
But isn't it great when another watch enthusiast does notice? I was at the doctor and commented on his watch. You should have seen how excited he got to tell someone about it who actually cared.
I appreciate long term reviews. I'd like to know if something is going to fall apart in 6 months of use or not. Unfortunately, you don't see that a lot from most reviewers.
