Longines is on the way to level up. Regarding to some interviews of the CEO we will see some serious quality upgrades in future but also unfortunately in price.
I think in two or three product periods (10-15 years) we will see Longines within the Swatchgroup were Omega today is. So buy Longines as long you can afford it and you like it :-) .
The hydroconquest is a great watch,good looking,great movement, not too expensive and backed with a company with a long long history. Yep it is for me (I've got an older version and love it)
I love it, almost bought one however can't decide between the new/old models. Ended up buying a Seiko Monster in the end however I keep coming back to look at the hydroconquest
