Another.. Seiko.

Okay. So originally this one was up on my country’s «Craigslist», FINN.no , and he was just willing to trade for it. I had a couple old SQ’s, but he wasn’t interested. Had to negotiate with him for a few days, but finally got him to sell it to me for about €100. F*cking finally.

When I first got it, the crown was super hard to turn, and the crystal was scratched to the point where the «SEIKO» would be blurry. After a few turns of the crown it started ticking, mind you the guy I bought it from knew very little about this watch, so I felt lucky. Next thing I did was to just let i run for a couple of days, and it kept the time better than my Seiko 5. The crown feels better now, but might do a service if I get the time.

The crystal was something I knew had to be fixed. Either I had to measure and get a new one, or I could gamble, and just polish this one. The latter being the easiest, I went on out in my shed and got some fine sandpaper, and went to work.

Safe to say it worked out :)

Time to start experimenting with some straps. Anyone have any input?
