Takara Kronoform

Today I got one of my grail watches. It isn’t particularly expensive. It isn’t from a prestigious watchmaker brand. Heck, it isn’t even made of steel. What it is though is pure unadulterated nostalgia. It’s silly, I know. Most watch enthusiasts probably wouldn’t even care much for this but I haven’t stopped smiling since I put it on my wrist. Oh and the smiling continues even after I take it off my wrist, possibly even more so. It’s just so much fun! I absolutely love it!

I mentioned there that the SKMEI 1095 is the cheap modern knockoff, so I needn't do it here. The OP remembered to turn the robot head around in watch mode, which SKMEI's photographers did not.

As soon as I saw the first photo I though wow that looks like shockwave… and then I saw the other photos… that’s really damn cool

Ah yes. There are a lot of those unbranded ones like the one in your review. They are basically clones of the original produced by Takara, now Takara Tomy, the same company that made the Diaclone line of toys which Hasbro eventually rebranded into what we now know as the Transformers.

This one here is from 1985 which is why I am so thrilled that it is in the condition that it’s in. Not a lot of them survived, I suspect because kids natutally played with them a whole lot. I know I did, repeatedly transforming mine from watch to robot and back again until the legs eventually fell off.
