The Red Special
Finally pulled the trigger before these limited edition Red Specials ran out of stock. I am a fan of the rock band Queen since my school days. And the legendary guitarist Brian May is a key contributer to the god level success and popularity of the Rock band Queen.
He was also known for his legendary hand made guitar called the Red Special which has become a symptom his identity.
And he was very fond of wearing Seiko 5 watches .
Seiko commemorated the legendary guitarist,the legendary rockstar and the legendary guitar "Red Special" by creating a limited edition Seiko 5 SRPH series named the Red Special. This is the 2nd generation Red Special by Seiko which had a yellow gold case and a striking red and black dial which compliment the golden case.
I was quite sceptical about picking this one as it was on the pricier side of things, technically not worth . Apart the unique color wave and nato strap resembling the strings of the Red Special guitar, there is no major technical improvement considering the premium it is asking for.
But the aesthetic vibe and the history related to this watch made me pull the trigger . And i am enjoying this watch.

Very nice looking watch. I've been eyeing this guy off for a while. And know what it's like to spend more on a watch that what it's worth just because it's a special edition one. I spent 3 times more on a G-Shock because it was a slightly different colour and design than the standard one.. I liked that version more!!.. and I don't regret it.
