Einstein’s theory of relativity predicts that time slows down the faster you travel relative to an observer. The faster you go, the slower the clock ticks. At the speed of light, time stands still.
This was actually proven in the 1970s, when identical, synchronised atomic clocks were flown by jet in opposite directions around the earth, then compared.
The flying clock times had diverged from the one held stationary at the base. Proving the theory.
I think it also proves you can live fast and die young.
(Not specifically watch related but I like this one): Just like a baseball, or sound, light takes some time to travel across distances. Light emitted from the Sun takes about 8 minutes to reach your eyeball. It’s just over an hour for light to travel from Saturn to us. So when you look at Saturn, youre seeing an hour old image of Saturn. And when you start to look at objects even further away like stars, you are seeing light which was emitted thousands of years ago. When you look at the milkway, the image you are seeing is approximately 100,000 years old - you’re seeing the milkway as it was when the first humans were walking the earth.
And when we use the most sensetive telescopes in the world, we can actually see back in time 13.8 billion years ago - receiving light which was emitted at the very birth of the universe - the Big Bang.

Early watches only had an hour hand
Wrist Watches have been considered a feminine item for much longer than they have been masculine.
I heard a rumor somewhere that the Omega Speedmaster went to the moon. Can anyone confirm? 🤪

Another fun time related one..

Fun watch fact… the longer I’m on Watch Crunch the more watches I buy.
Fact: Watch facts don’t care about your watch feelings.
