This watch has been through cruise ships, beach dips, swimming pools, house renovations, yard-work, plane flights, basement flood, diaper changes and much more.
Had to make some space in the collection and had to make the cut. A much worth purchase in the years I've had the watch and really enjoyed it.
Pros: great size at 38mm, 80 hour power reserve, using the crown is enjoyable, sapphire, splash of red in second hand 👌, versatile with strap combos
Cons: no AR coating (although it's always been legible), no screw down crown ( I went in the water multiple times but the first few I did think about it)
So I think not much cons if you could get this at a great price way below MSRP or even second hand. I did not baby this thing at all and it just works. Strap change from rubber to leather and you ready for anything.
Now I have a void in the "field watch" category that I guess I'll fill sometime down the road...
Recently picked up the watch hobby or should I say addiction during the lock-down. Excited to see where this journey takes me.

Good price for a fellow watch friend locally $280 + couple straps; you could tell I had hard use on the case
Surprised to hear that you’re letting go of a watch you’ve developed such a relationship with. My Seiko 5 (SNK), which was my first mechanical watch, will never leave the collection. If anything, I’ll “retire” it. That said, letting go of a watch can be a great thing. I’ve let go of a couple of pieces, and I was happy to know they were going to someone who would wear and love them. Farewell!

I feel that way with my SNK805 too; don't think I'll let that one go. I knew further down I wanted a different field watch so maybe this will push me further. But I had less wrist time with it lately and made the cut. It was a good watch
