All of my Orient watches I collected over the years. Some of these i bought on impulse 10 years back when I was starting to collect and then forgot most of them until recently. All of these Orient watches except Kamasu (which i only bought recently) are using the old 48743 movement (non hackable and non hand winding)

Cool collection I have recently found an old x6 watch box so I think I am going to create a sub £500 (each watch) collection
Needs more ugly
I'm quite a new collector and the Kamasu was one of my first purchases. On my list to get are the triton lite , a defender 2 and one of the many bambinos. And that's before even thinking about the orient star models. You cannot beat Orient in my opinion yet they remain a bit left field for a lot of people?

They have some quirky designs, but build quality is solid overall at that price point. Probably my next Orient might be an Orient Star Heritage Gothic.
Yep very nice! Just taken a look.
Orient are very different to the bland and boring which seems to be the norm
heres one of mine

Totally bonkers! Does this watch have a name? Is it Japan domestic only?
It’s called the Orient Retro Future Camera
its made to look like one.

Yes I can see that now. Very unique to look at. Definitely a conversation piece!

Indeed. Orient is wayyyy understated. Great quality at great prices, in-house mechanical movements, divers, dress watches at really reasonable prices, especially pre-owned. I recently bought an Orient Classic Commuter witha Teal dial, lumed indices n gold gilt... Superbly dressy yet sporty at the same time.
I think most watch brands are overhyped, like Rolex. While Orient really makes Everything in-house n has a longer history; sticking to making good, decent watches at really affordable watches.
That Teal Orient Classic I bought? I got it for only 80 bucks... N it's practically new! 😉
