Too big vs too small

Thoughts on this? I’m very much wear what you like HOWEVER I am more likely to think “that’s a bit big” compared to “that’s a bit small” when seeing wrist shots.

Again, wear what you like, just a random musing on my part

Usually watches look bigger on the wrist in photos.

IMO about 80% of the watches posted look too big. This includes my own 🤔

·

I also think that way too big is more on the negative side than bit small nowadays. I also find it interesting, that when we talk about the DJ, suddenly everybody (incl me) are totally fine with 36mm 😁

Yeah agreed, it’s all down to focal length

Focal length ;)

If this forum existed 30-40 years ago, it would be the opposite. In my case I prefer bigger watches because my eyesight got worse with age. I only wear my small watches with glasses.

Yep! But this is why I say wear what you like. I’ve got 34, 36, 37, 39, 40, 42 and 44.5 (which I don’t wear now)

Gorgeous watch and perfect size fornit

The worst imo is overhang of the lugs, thats a big 'no no' for me. Other than that, bring on the whole range of sizes. 😁

(But smaller is better;)

Yeah I’m inclined to agree

I think too small is much better than too big. When I see guys with tiny wrists trying to pull off larger watches it’s comical. On the flip side, there’s a long precedence of guys wearing smaller watches. This one is 37mm but it still doesn’t feel too small for my 7.75” wrist for example.

Not sure what it is. IMO there should be 10mm of strap on the top of the wrist before it curves round. Many pictures I see the strap goes almost straight down from the lugs. I've got an 8"+ wrist and think 40mm looks about right. 44mm below is too big IMO.

If there was ever a perfect watch and size, that's it 👌♥️

·

I'd go with too small 👌but skinny wrists here would 😂👍

I’ve read somewhere, probably here on WC, that close up shot by smartphones makes watch look bigger. Zooming out either by zoom function or distance and clipping the photo makes it more true to the real size. I never bother because I don’t care if others think it’s too big😁

Yeah that works - also take a pic in a mirror rather than straight down onto the watch. You get a better idea yourself of the size of the watch and if you like it - which is at the end of the day all that matters anyway

Doesn’t look too big to me! So long as lugs aren’t widely over the edge of my wrist I’m ok with it!
