Maybe. That’s what owners of Monta watches like to tell people. I’ve never seen an objective comparison against their competitors in that “premium” microbrand space.
Christopher Ward IMHO, tho I've not handled a Monta IRL. I give CW the edge as they've a higher profile (adverts on TV in the UK) and produce watches that are more complicated. Imho.

Love CW also. I now begin to question whether they are really a micro anymore....
Wearing my Noble today. It's great. No need to classify it as being the best or king of anything. It's just really good. Interestingly enough, the bracelet might be the only weakness. You have to dig your nail into the clasp to open it and, this is being nitpicky, the bracelet isn't quick release and you have to take off the watch to access the tool-less on the fly adjustment.

Fair point! I just find it very very comfortable for a bracelet.
Maybe…. I think they need to have one or two designs that just scream ‘Monta!’ Christopher Ward now has that and I would say they are doing a better job at being the King of the Micro’s if there is such a thing.
@Lrosenfeld5 I'm this close 🤏🏼 to buying a Triumph. Wanna share you're wrist size so I can get a better idea of how it would look on me (6.25 inch wrist)?
An independent. Which microbrand is selling the same models since more than thirty years? 😉 And they are also sold via ADs, and are what you can call an inhouse company.

Agreed. I was asking the original commenter as they identified Nomos as a micro.
I liked their Ocean King and Skyquest but the new versions to me have lost all their soul and gone backwards. I had a chance to demo the prior gen OK and thought it was well made but not double the cost of a CW or close enough to a Tudor to not pay the premium for a better movement.

Fair points. I actually just ordered the new Skyquest Opaline dial. Their bracelets are just super comfortable and that is a major feature for me in a GMT to travel with.

I think the Triumph is their best model now and do agree the bracelets are fantastic. My favorite part was the small polished section on the end of the links, just enough to give it character and not easy to do because of the tight lines. I was waiting for the V3 OK to get a black dial diver and it just felt so flat to me. Before it had its own character, now it's another Sub type piece to me sadly. I think they also killed some of their finer finishing on the OK that made them them and justify their price for me.

In my humble opinion, their bracelets are absolutely king....interested in other views about the watch. Great value.
Lovely watch. Be careful, your crown looks unscrewed

That’s kind of hard to argue against. Even though I’ve never held one in hand, even from just pictures the quality is rather apparent

I noticed that after taking the pic!! Thank you, all secure now.

Yes, I'm not sure either tbh 😂👍
Don't know about the King but certainly a member of the Royal Family.

I just adjusted it right now. I also wish it had more than 3 microadjustments. My wrists tend to shrink/swell quite a bit throughout the day.

I would send an email to Monta...they will at least consider it if enough people have the same issues. That is what's great about a micro....
I like what they offer.

Check that out.
Check that out.
What am I looking at? An unscrewed crown?
Yes, I'm not sure either tbh 😂👍
I think you can call CW a Macro-brand.? 🤣
What am I looking at? An unscrewed crown?
Lol, I screwed it down!!

Yes. 🤓 How terrible.

I'm only 9 months or so from getting the Miyako
But the Komodo is still 4 years away 🤬😢
Oh WoW Congratulations! 👑 I hope you’ll put up a review of the Miyako when you get it!
Is Nomos a micro or independent?

They get my vote
Yeah you totally killed me....just ordered one of these.

Great bracelets, very good specs, classic designs.
The Triumph im particular is outstanding
