...the movement is very beautiful but, the design of the face... it's not really balanced!
I'm a bit concerned with what they've done with the movement to be honest. Just removing the rotor doesn't really make it a proper manually winding movement. From what I understand the manual winding in an automatic movement is supposed to be used occasionally to get the watch up & running & using it everyday can result in failures. The winding in manually wound movements is heavier duty with wheels with bigger teeth so they don't strip out from regular use.

I am an avid fan of both Marc and TGV. Having said that, I will not be buying the Rangemaster Mechanical. Field watches like this are so plentiful and few are quite as expensive as The Islander version. I don't like the strap and the movement is a tremendous concern for me. The Miyota is a noisy movement to begin with and I think it was a poor choice.
