Crikey, a reference to Cinderella, I thought I was the only one who remembered them.
This is odd, there are many large or even smaller ads that cannot offer any sort of courtesy discounts but allow up to 20 months of interest free payment plans. Obviously they sell the accounts to companies that take a percentage to finance the plan. My most friendly ads will not budge with certain brands and prefer losing a percentage instead to another company than passing the small saving to the customer. If I cannot buy a certain watch from some business that gives me a small saving I arrange an interest free plan 100% of the time. Many critics of buying an item on interest free plans perhaps do not exactly understand the popular plans. One ad claims there are plans where you can choose to make a single payment at the end of the period as opposed to making monthly payments interest free. This is an arrangement that does carry some small risk but not to the consumer who absolutely can buy the item immediately. I wanted to buy identical Cartier Tank XL watches for our 2 daughters last Christmas, my long time sa apologized that he was under strict orders to offer no perks on the sale of Cartier watches which surprised me since allowances were made in the past. I opted for a 10 month plan but became boored with the monthly payments and paid off the bill months early but I remain an apologist for using credit wisely.
