I own a Tissot PRX80 and Mido Ocean Star.
From those I choose the Hamilton every day of the week and twice on Sunday. Love the style.
With free choice - you can just about get a midsized quartz 1990s Omega Seamaster diver 300m for £1k.
solid list, not much of an objection

Lorier (pick literally any)
Helm (<$500)
Zelos (some better than others)
Only own the PRX on that list but the best one to me is the CW Dune.
Have had the PRX, SPB317, Traska and Serica 4512. Would like to try the 6190.

I appreciate that Helm and Zelos are well made, but their designs just don’t speak to me.
I like Lorier designs, but the acrylic makes most of their models a no go for me. If they ever decide to fix that flaw, then I would reconsider.

I was just like you about Lorier, and even communicated with the owners (husband & wife team) about this nonsense with plastic…
Finally bit the bullet (the owner wife Lauren is very convincing). Now I can say that Lorier is perfect as is with the Acrylic. It really adds a certain “warmth” that sapphire lacks, and it’s nowhere near as scratch prone as you’d think (I work in the field with a SS tanks and pipes).
Regardless, each to their own ✌️
