Blue and Green Citizen Goodness

My postbox was full with this little beauty when I got to work this morning, the #citizen #promaster Unite with #limitededition BN0166-01L..

One of just 7000 produced world-wide, it's not a small number, but not a huge one either. Check out the dial!

From Citizen:

The dial uses 100% recycled polycarbonate materials. The structural colour ink on the surface of the dial, created by FUJIFILM Corporation, produces an incredible variety of glittering colours inspired by the beauty of the ocean. The pigment-free ink uses light reflecting off the surface of the microstructures in the ink to create a range of hues and tones. The watch is powered by light, a form of clean energy, and the unique dial utilises light to create beautiful colours, perfectly complementing the Eco-Drive technology inside.

Hence the funky blue and green!

I have been after one of these for a while, but couldn't really justify the AUD$799.⁰⁰ Dollarie-doos at launch in June.

As the price continued to drop into the southern Autumn my interest in picking one up increased but at $540.⁰⁰ it was still a bit rich for my blood. But for some reason, somehow, I picked this piece up for AUD$399.⁰⁰ on the weekend so now all I have to do is justify it to the wife.

It actually doesn't wear that big, like a #seiko #turtle, 44m ø plus 50mm lug-to-lug is getting close enough to square, but at 11½mm thickness (and being #quartz / #solar it's pretty light.

Fantastic deal on a fantastic Citizen! Well done and congratulations 🤙🎯

Congrats! Great looking watch. I was looking to pick one up (do I really need a 4th Promaster 🤪).

The prices for this watch are a bit on the high side. I could have picked one up for under $250 from jomashop when the watch was first released but alas… you snooze, you lose. It sold out while I was snoozing. 🙄

I’ll keep looking though. 😀

Enjoy it. 👍

I hope you are still honeymooning with this watch. I just received an email that this was back in stock at Jomashop and, unlike last time, I didn’t hesitate so this (4th for me 🙄🤪) Promaster Unite with Blue version is enroute.

After a week I'm still loving it. It has joined the #divewatch box and will enter the normal rotation.

I know the snap-buy can be a bit daunting sometimes, especially if you have been waiting and anticipating like a coiled spring, just waiting to pull the trigger. You won't regret it.

It's like you have a new watch everytime you look at it since it's a different colour! 💚💙
