Watch Size For Men

Hello everyone. I have a question and maybe someone could help me out.?

What is the most common used size watch for men? I am talking about the measurment lug to lug. I am saying lug to lug, because that measurment is very important against your wrist size.

Thank you. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Most common is dial diameter. Best indicator of wearability is L2L.

Iโ€™m thinking around 47 I try not to go above 50mm

Good point and well said ๐Ÿ˜Œ

My 40mm are around 47/48. I have two outliers at 51 which are at my limit.

There really isn't one. Forget the variables in men's wrists, how manufacturers design the watch has huge differences

Some manufacturers have long, straight lugs. Some of them have very flat cases. Some cases are curved. Some lug-to-lug is very short, like the Oris Aquis, which allows a much larger diameter to fit well. Some end links are rigid, male, and unyielding. Some end links on bracelets gently curve to fit a small, round wrist.

If you can try it on, do so. If not, watch a bunch of videos to see how it fits on people with similar wrists

For what it's worth, I have a 6.75 in/17cm wrist, and the most comfortable L2L I have found to be 45-49mm. Still figuring it out though...hope it helps!

I have a 9" wrist. The vintage watches that I find appealing, some may consider too small. I don't care. If I like it, I wear it. From 40's trench watches to contemporary divers. Don't care what anyone else thinks. Wear what you like my friend.

My upper limit is 50mm and I prefer my watches to stay below 48mm if possible. Some watches wear better than others, depending on how the end links attach to the case and how the bracelet falls down off your wrist. Integrated bracelet watches have this problem. Thatโ€™s why I prefer the 37mm AP RO as the lug to lug is more comfortable and appropriate to my wrist size of about 6 inches. But thereโ€™s no watch size thatโ€™s perfect for men as we all have different size wrists.

I heard on a teddy baldassarre video that as long as the lug to lug is 50mm or less it should wear well if you have small to average sized wrists

Yeah, I am leaning towards that very little people have very big thick wrists. It looks like 45-47 Lug to Lug is a sweet spot for most I guess.
