My first Hammy

Well not technically, my wife has a 50's estate sale Hamilton that she wears but this is my first one.  I am modding a Seiko for a buddy and this was part of the deal we made.  I had planned on selling it but it may actually stick around for a bit.

I was worried it would be a little small but it seems to wear really well.  It almost feels bigger than my Sinn 556.

And so it begins......

Like @foghorn said, you're gonna love it so much, another Hammy will make its way into your collection. Then another. Then another.

It’s those long lugs! definitely wears bigger than a 38mm doesn’t it. I’ve owned both the black dial and the white but sold them to make way for another piece. I need to buy another one as I haven’t stopped thinking about them 😁

Give me a week and this might be up for sale.  Haha.

I was late to the Hamilton party and only added my first earlier this year after 15 years of collecting (Khaki Sub 660ft). I do feel particularly silly about this turn of events, they are quite cool in their own little way.

I just love those Hamilton field watches. They seem so perfectly balanced in terms of the appearance and size. Understated, reliable, not showy, and at the same time has the kind of romance of it being something a great explorer might have worn back before electronics took over the world.

The white dial version seems like the best of the bunch to me. Just looks so good!

That’s a keeper, IMHO

Awesome, definitely can't go too far wrong with one
