Tudor black bay (36) old version value ?

Hi,

I would love to ask what is your opinion on actual a future price on older version of Black bays ?

I wanted buy old version of black bay 36. The two or three week ago the price on Chrono 24 was around 2350 EUR now it is 2740 EUR for new one. Do you think the price will increase in future ?

Thank you in advance for you answers:)

I think so, but probably not by much. The ETA movement with the “smiley face”, rotary self winding script is unique (though some people dislike it). It’s retained its MSRP and yea I’ve seen it on Chrono 24 going for above MSRP. So I think there is a good possibility it will go higher but not by much. Not like Rolexes.

No, I don't think it will increase. Not above inflation anyway...

It'll be worth whatever a buyer in the future is willing to pay for.

I think a short term increase is inevitable, due to sudden unavailability for new pieces, but I’ve seen the used examples stay around $2,000 USD mark, which has been pretty stable. I think patience will pay off.

Out of curiosity, I asked my AD if there’s any discount on the older style BB32 (for my wife), and he told me that the MSRP will stand for now.

I mean…obviously. That’s not a particularly helpful comment.
