Case and band purchases
Hi everyone, doing a little market research here. Whats the main thing you look for when purchasing a new watch band or a case? Cheers!

Different for bands and cases.
For bands I go for an established manufacturer using quality leather. Usually a German one like RIOS1931 or Fluco as I find they're the best value.
For cases I go for cheap and cheerful.
My priority choices aren't on your list! I'm looking for bands that are going to be of good quality for the price, that have attention to details, and that have designs that resonate with me personally. The price, shipping, uniqueness, and history of the brand are secondary to me.
Cases are about protection of the pieces I'm keeping/moving in them. Sure, they should look nice, but are they keeping my watches separated, cushioned, protected?

Well put! Feel the same.
For bands, price. If I like the way it looks and the price, I'm in. I don't need to waste a lot of money because THIS leather is supposed be from virgin cows who grazed on non-GMO grass in Bavaria. I did that once, never again.
For watch cases, I like a 3-slot watch roll with a soft, protective interior. Protection > Price.
Bands: Shell Cordovan. After trying virtually everything else out there, this is the material I look for.
As for cases, if it’s to be traveling with me then a 3 to 5 slot leather roll. For the home I want 4 to 8 winder slots plus storage spaces
none of the above. Quality every time.
I suppose either or. I consider anything we put watches into, a case. But I can see how people differentiate between the two.
