Why see through case back is actually more comfortable

The glass/sapphire sticks to skin better than metal. It makes it move around less, which means you can wear the bracelet a bit looser and it wont move around so crazly.

So it makes it more comfortable.

For the most part, I agree completely. Some watches with clear caseback tend to be a little thicker, and therefore top-heavy, but it’s never dealbreaker for me. But I will say, I never wear a see-through case back with a NATO strap. There is always beauty in the movement, whether it is high end or not. And I can’t help but take a little time every day to be mesmerized by it.

All of mine have exhibition case backs except for one, but I don't find that one watch to be any less comfortable than the others. Just my opinion.

I always found sapphire casebacks to be more uncomfortable especially when wet/ hot, far to sticky.

Agreed. Less mobile on the wrist, more comfortable.

My skins somtimes struggles with steel casebacks, my only steelback watch is my gshock which I only wear for physical tasks, my casio is titanium and it was a game changer for me

Plus with mechanical seeing the movement is always a nice boon

Steel for me, the glass is less porous, so the skin less breathable. The steel with engraving like longines has more space in between for the skin to breathe.

Now that you mention it, it does sit better on the wrist 🤔
