Francophone (french-speaking) Watch Enthusiasms?

Our hobby comes with so much french terminology (think: watch brands, complication names, historical and key locations, etc). Curious to know if there's many of us francophones (french speakers) here on WatchCrunch? Where are my fellow Suisses, Québécois, Acadiens, Français, Belges, Luxembourgeois, Libanais, etc people? Who can perfectly pronounce Vallée de Joux, Vacheron Constantin, Foudroyante, Audemars Piguet, Montblanc, etc 😂?

WE ARE not LEGION, but yet still around.
I tend to think that many newcommers to this hobby are exposed to english horological terms, mainly from youtube and such, rather than french ones. Gives a nice globish on french speaking forums (bezel, dial, balance wheel and the like..)
Normand et fier de l'être mais citoyen mondial avant tout. Et amateur de montres (principalement japonaises, mais pas que...). J'apprécie sur ce site de voir la diversité des goûts de chacun. 🇨🇵👋😜

Effectivement, c'est malheureusement vrai lorsqu'il s'agit de media francophones. Like you, I have observed the use and abuse of some sort of globish and/or code-switching when it comes to talking about our favourite hobby. This is quite unfortunate given that the field of horology is primarily (and, to some extent, historically) rooted in French-speaking Switzerland (Romandie), therefore there should be plenty of french technical vocabulary available for us all to exploit... In my original post, I was mostly referring to watch brands' names and complications more than the actual french language content existing in the web and social media these days. Would you have some french language channels or blogs recommendations for a francophile like myself?

Je suis moi aussi Québécois 😉 Québécois d'origine et de sang expatrié du "pays" depuis plus de 17 ans. Passage de presque 10 ans par la Suisse Romande dans les années 2000, pas trop perdu l'accent bien que des fois il soit teinté d'helvétismes ...
