Tried this today

I got to try the Ciga Design Blue Planet Gilding on the wrist today. The original blue planet in titanium won a GPHG award when first launched, and this was a later release in gold and black.

Was always fascinated by the globe that takes up almost the entire dial, and the lack of a bezel makes the 40mm feel much bigger than it actually is.

What do you folks think about this?

Absolutely hideous. Sorry.

As a watch I'm not a fan as I much prefer simpler designs, but as a piece of engineering or something to start a conversation I appreciate it.

Haha. It's definitely a design that splits opinions.

Yes it's a conversation starter for sure. But I didn't really enjoy how it wears, even at 40mm it felt a little too big for me.

As a concept, I love it. Both designs are eye catching & well done.

Just don't know if I'd ever buy one for mostly financial reasons.

Its a fair point. At around 2k usd it's a lot to pay for a gimmick, and also a lot of other watches that money could buy.

If I could afford multiple $2k watches, one of these would be in my collection. I love maps & to have one on my watch would be cool AF
