Zulu Time Rotor Noise

I’ve had my Longines Zulu Time for over three months now, and worn it about 50 times. I have never once noticed the rotor making a sound until this morning. I’m concerned something got knocked loose in the movement.

Has anyone else noticed the rotor being very loud, or should I send it in?

Thanks all!

While i dont have the watch i maybe can give an answer.

For the winding system your longines uses a ball bearing system. This winding system is used because it needs less servicing, but they make quiet a loud noice when winding. As i know that is even the reason because Rolex didnt want to use that system because it was so loud. They just recently added it in there movemnts because they found anway to reduce the noice.

I would not panic. If it you here something that spins and there is no knocking you should be fine. But if you really are concerned then find a place where they can take a look in your watch.

Note that im not watchmaker so i dont really know if somethings wrong or right.

It's ok. Mine can be heard winding away in a quiet room if I wiggle my wrist with authority. Nothing is wrong, it's just the ball bearing winding system Longines uses.

For reference, all Valjoux 7750 movements and their spawn are all relatively noisy but it's ok as it let's you know that it's there winding your watch. Miyota 9015 movements are also relatively noisy.
