Love the Breitling Navitimer 43mm B01, buy new or 2nd hand?

Have been trying the Navitimer 43mm and I love it, but at £7300 compared to pre-owned older models at about £3000-4000, which would you buy?

I wan if you can find one in good condition and at the right price why not save the money. Just remember but the seller not the watch

For me a good preowned with box and papers from a reputable seller. And with money saved you can get another watch😜

Not many people are going to agree with me but I'll say it anyway. It really depends how much time you have spent at the AD trying it on and talking to them. Salespeople and businesses deserve to be compensated for their time and facilities. If they have spent several hours with you then you owe them the sales especially, if they will give you a bit of a discount.

You could buy a good quality second hand with box and papers, then get it serviced by breitling who will then guarantee it just like a brand new watch, you will probably still save money

I would agree, if the AD has done a good job, provided a lot of time effort and added value by advising the customer. I think it would be right buying through the AD and sales person. However, it is tough with the internet bringing low prices to all customers for exact models, consumers are being more savvy so it is very hard to ignore 20-30% cheaper prices! I suppose it depends if you are looking to develop a long-term relationship with the AD especially when considering buying into brands like Rolex.

Discounts that deep usually mean gray market. Not always a bad route but it can burn you if there’s a problem with the watch.

If you have any kind of relationship with an AD, talk to them. Tell them what you’re looking for and what your budget is. They might be able to acquire a used piece that fits your needs or even come up with something you’ve never seen before.

I’d buy new if you can
