Omega Constellation Ultra Thin

I recently boarded the integrated bracelet with blue textured dial hype-train. I must admit, it's a sweet ride!

She's running perfectly on time, thanks to the cal. 712. One of the thinnest automatic movements from Omega, with a height of 3mm. I'm not sure of the exact year but it's somewhere from the late 60's / early 70's.

I had never heard of this Omega movement until today. Thank you for introducing it to me! One of my passions in watch collecting is ultra thin movements.

3mm for a full rotor automatic puts it in pretty rare company, especially as it was developed in-house. To put that in perspective:

  • An ETA 2892-a2 is 3.6mm
  • The Zenith Elite cal. 680 is 3.28mm
  • The AP cal. 2121 (based on the JLC cal. 920 and used in the Royal Oak jumbo ultra thin) is 3.05mm
  • The Girard Perregaux cal. 3000 is 2.98mm
  • The Lemania 8810 is 2.95mm

Nice and slender. Beautiful blue color on the dial👌

That's what we are here for ;) Not a bad list to be amongst.
