What are your thoughts on the quirky one-handed watches?

I quite like the one handers.

I have this "Slow Jo" from Slow Watches that is similar, but shows time over a 24 hour period rather than 12 hours. Results in looking at time in a completely different way.

One hand watches are so interesting.  It changes they way you think about time.  It is almost like thinking about the day in seasons as opposed to minutes and hours.  I think it would make a great vacation or camping watch.

Ooh I‘ve heard about those, cool looking watch as well. With a 24h dial I could imagine it’s even more of a “gamble” what time it is exactly. But than again, that’s not really the point of these watches. 👍

That’s a great way of looking at it. Definitely gonna bring it along on my next vacation.

Wow, those are really different — and cool!

Love them! My first mechanical watch was a one handed Luch. Lots of value at only about $50.

·

They seem like a gimmick to me. Can’t really get into them personally.

·

I think they are unique. I mean what is a gimmick? A lot of the most beloved watches in the community could be called gimmicks through a certain lens. I have my eyes on the Metris Bronze model as it looks like a maritime gauge . . . classy yet industrial.
