The Purple Pilgrimage!
I had recently posted about my desire for a purple dial watch after spending a day staring at Eric’s, @StNobody , wonderful Islander Northport in purple. WatchCrunch did not disappoint with excellent suggestions and conversations about purple timepieces.

Later on that evening Eric sent me a message and offered me a purple dial watch!!!
A few words from Eric…
"I acquired this Mathey-Tissot not long after I started accumulating watches, specifically because I wanted a purple dial to wear during Lent, and this watch satisfied that condition tastefully, classily, and for a very manageable price. But I never did grow to love it, and found myself wearing it only out of an occasional pang of obligation, especially after other purple dials—ones that I did love—joined my collection. I didn’t want to keep indefinitely something I had no particular interest in wearing. The watch wasn’t worth enough to bother reselling, but was just nice enough that I wanted to be deliberate in choosing its next wearer; I wanted it to go to someone to whom it appealed. And then Ryan joined WatchCrunch, and posted something about wanting a purple dial…"
I was truly blown away by Eric’s kind and gracious offer. I accepted but Eric and I decided that we had a cool opportunity to share this gesture with the whole of WatchCrunch.
A purple peregrination, pilgrimage, or passing.
I will enjoy this watch, take some pictures, and bask in all of its purple pleasantries. Then it will be passed on to the next WatchCruncher.

It really isn't a bad watch at all. Fits nicely, finishing is just fine and the dial really has a nice sunray effect.
I really think purple is going to be the extra popular color this year. I know there was bronze and then bright colors, but I'm seeing more and more pieces that look nice.
