Solar 38.5 all day, err day. Everything the Rolex Submariner should be. Everyday, tough, actually available and mostly affordable $/value, yet classy looking object you strap on your wrist, and accomplish the day's tasks with.
The ghosted bezel is going to end up at some point down the road in my collection as well. But for everyday use, I went with the black. The ghost grey, was a bit more glossy than I prefer for day to day. For a more elegant tool look it's 👌🏻.
If Seiko does a 38.5 DressKX solar, I'd go with the Black Solar and solar Dresskx for strals , and the ghost blue on an Uncle Seiko Speedy bracelet or Forstner Komfit/Klip.

I would go with the chronograph.

Also good idea. Forgot about those....crap, one mkre thing to keep an eye out for... 😆
Amazing watch indeed! The sut403p1 definitely has its charm. 😊
I feel like it needs a dressier watch for the trio to be complete but I have a hard time finding one that fits those 2.
Did I manage to do the impossible? 😄
It does tick a few boxes but it's not as dressy as I'd like it to be for some reason.
Oooh, didn't cross my mind but you might be right! That is a good contender!
Here's what my extensive research found for smaller Seiko solar watches:
SBTM217
SBTM241
SBPX145
SBTM301
Nothing to scale down the collection though as they all look amazing imo 🙄
