I have been mulling over what quartz beater watch to get for my wife.
It needs to be quartz and be ‘relatively’ small. It is replacing a Casio LWA-300H-7EVEF where the white band is starting to look yellowish.
Other suggestions are also appreciated but below USD 1000. (I have 3 Hamilton watches myself but no Tissot watches.)
Also she dislikes the “Baby G” written on the smaller G Shocks.

The Citizen Promaster 37mm. Apart from the mineral crystal, there is nothing to complain about this watch. Compact, eco-drive, better lume than both the watches on your poll and a proper dive watch.

I think your suggestion is better than what I came up with. I didn’t know about these models for women.
So I showed her the grey/gold variant and she likes that one perhaps with a white strap instead.
So, thanks :)
Tissot Seastar.
In person it actually surprised me with how good it looks. Like I would buy a Gilt version, same size good.
The white just pops with cool color combos too!
The Promaster 37 and the new Seiko 5 38 would be second place.
The Seiko Solar 38.5 SeikoSub would be third.
It’s a sharp looking watch, thanks for posting the images :)

Got released a couple of months back so relatively new, it retails for $375 but you can find them for a lesser price. Both the grey and rose gold will definitely look good on a white strap.
The other option around the same price is the Seiko Tuna 38mm SUT403 and SUT405.
Or if you want with a sapphire crystal then the 38mm Seiko Solar SNE569/571/573.
I have the white Seastar and am wearing it daily at the moment (on holiday/vacation). I love its looks, robustness and versatility - the quick change spring bars make it easy to change the look really quickly. Having said that if I was in the market now I'd also look at that 37mm Citizen.

Yeah, I think she’ll need to try on both the Tissot and Citizen, there’s also a difference in thickness of the case between them.
