I’m at Lake Suwa, on my way home from backpacking trip.
This is the home of GS Spring Drive watches and the lake has been motif of GS watches, including popular Omiwatari.

Deep bow. Will you visit any GS production facilities or stores while in the area? Thanks for sharing the photo.
This is awesome
Beautiful!

It was just a little rest stop to grab a coffee☕️ After a backpacking trip I was too dirty and sweaty to visit any clean place😆
And if I’m not mistaken, Grand Seiko has a studio that you can visit in Shizukuishi (home for mechanical, far up north of Japan) but not in Suwa.

Sweet holiday!
My advice: buy the watch, then Swim across Suwa wearing it!
Would be an awesome way to build a memory and connection. That was my tentative plan anyway
I love doing epic and memorable adventures, and having a watch tied to those memories
But Now I’m leaning towards the new SLGA023 - blue tide in Ti
It’s so much like the ocean where I do marathon kayaking 🥰
I’ve been to the Shizuku Ishi studio, it’s lovely but it’s definitely hella far and hard to get to.
I plan to try and sweet talk my way into the Shinshu / Suwa area studio next time I visit - but expect it will be very tough to pull off!

I don’t think there is any studio open to public in Shinshu. But Shinshu is full of beautiful places. You will love it.
