Talk about complications...

I was scrolling through Instagram and came across a reel showing this antique. Crafted by automaton maker, Xavier Tharin; this is a clock, a painting, music box, and automaton.

When the hour strikes, this painting comes to life with music and multiple figures in the painting moving. I'd love to see the components that make this thing up. I've seen numerous watches with over the top number of complications and to me this is the clock equivalent. Really impressive given this was built in the 1880s.

They have more info on it and a link to a YouTube video (haven't seen it yet).

Beauty once was a thing. I suspect the winding would be a bit much, but worth it.

If your watch isn’t also a painting then delete me! 😂
