If you want Asian this one is a nod to old Americana and is legal in most states. 154 cm steel is an incredible low maintenance but hard enough for any job that size. That’s exactly how people describe the skx🥴
Spyderco Delica would be the equivalent to an SKX imo. At one time it was the entry point to a legitimate diver/pocket knife but it’s now outclassed by modern options.

I’d take a look at Civivi maybe the Elementum line or the CRKT Squid is a nice simple option.
I'd recommend looking at a Spyderco Paramilitary 2 or a Paramilitary 3 depending on your size preferences.
Spyderco Tenacious.

Swiss Army Knife
I don't know specific models, but I suspect many in North America start with Gerber, Buck, Kershaw, CRKT, or some version of a Swiss army knife.
When people start getting more "serious" they seem to go Spyderco, Benchmade, etc..
