A BB36 is a beautiful thing. Good to hear yours is settling in well. Excellent photos.

An absolute beaut--congrats! Would love something like that, but I'm way too hard on my watches....

Agree—if I have two, the second will be a Tudor diver, not sure which yet. Thinking FXD.

Have to go on abut the BB36 a bit more, writing the above has me thinking about the watch in all the good ways:

Most legible watch I've had or seen by a long shot, night or day. Readable across a room an on a  very low angle, etc.

Under the radar, never gets the wrong kind of attention, and really doesn't get much at all, which is the way I like it.

Amazing bracelet, never liked bracelets at all until this one, and really like it. That said, I mostly wear it on a black or gray perlon strap which is my GADA strap (especially black, I think it pulls of "fancy" well enough in most cases, and you can swim in it, but you can get a black shell cordovan at 19mm for it for the true dress situation). I thought the 19 mm lugs would be annoying, but just get a 20mm eulit perlon, fits fine and better than correct sizing, I think, because it never shows the spring bars (like correctly sized ones will).

For a GADA/onlywatch, I like this better than Tudor divers (58, Pelagos, etc.). They are great watches but not an onlywatch because, IMO, divers can never be an onlywatch b/c they can't pull of actually being dressy, only dressy in a James Bond way, which is fiction.

Okay, that's enough--point is, incredible watch, just incredible. Enjoy.

Congrats—my BB36 has basically been an exit watch for me—was looking at similar watches as you and had the same issues (too much polish/sparkle (AT), too costly (also AT), too costly to service (also AT), only serviceable by the maker (also AT), etc.). The BB36 has been my only watch for a year. Truly GADA. Have swum in the ocean with it, and taken to “fancy” places, never feels out of place. I still pay attention to the watch world but excitement about possible new watches has ebbed greatly and time on forums, etc, has greatly reduced with an arc toward zero. Absolutely an excellent watch.

One thought: if it’s at all slow/fast (out of -4 to +6 which is tudors spec for non in house movements, I think) go ahead and send it for service at a Rolex Service Center (directly—I use Dallas RSC, just call them and request a service box and they’ll mail it to you with instructions). They do an incredible job. Mine‘s been running +\-0.5 spd and I wear it hard.

Good luck and enjoy.

For me, the issue was the integrated bracelet -- not into those (not a huge bracelet fan, generally); if they hadn't gone with an integrated bracelet, I liked the remainder of the design and would have strongly considered one.

But, Tudor was way ahead of the integrated bracelet trend -- I think they even discontinued the NF a bit before the trend really appeared.
