La Joux-Perret Service interval?

I have been reading around to find the recommended service interval for JLP-movements, but haven't found anything. Does anyone know?

Given that they beat at the same 4Hz as most other Swiss movements, I would expect a service interval of between 5-10 years.

15 mechanical watches over 24 years, I’ve serviced 2, one because it was losing power reserve dropped into the 30’s, it was my daily for 15 years and the one I wore the most like 90% of the time. The other because I wanted a new bezel, and they serviced the movement. All the others all run within spec, to be honest I still only wear about 4 of them routinely and the others a day or two every 6 months.

Get them serviced when they’re not running well and need service. They’re not car engines.

I guessed that much. But is this one of the newer movements that pushes their recommended interval to 10 years 🤔 Hope so 😅

I do agree somewhat. It all depends Regardless, I would love to know what the manufacturer recommends.

Any watch you might get wet at all should at least have seals replaced every 5 years. The lifespan of those is only 6 years at most before they crack and shrink
