SOTC: my adventures on a budget (also my watch box arrived!)

Top row are all my Casios in my possession, from left to right:

  1. Edifice EF-547
  2. SGW-100
  3. AE1200, or also (my trusty) Royale
  4. A158

To the bottom row, these are all my Technos, a Brazilian watch brand with quite some history. Sadly it doesn't help much mentioning their reference or model numbers since searching for specific models online is hard:

  1.  Automatic 29mm dial, in gold details and Roman numerals. Probably from the 70s;
  2. Quartz 40mm dial, all details in gold, including hands, and calendar complications (3 wheels for 24 hour hand, week date and month date). The strap is not original, it is a cheap leather until I can find a good substitute
  3. My most expensive and rare find, an Alarmdate from the mid to late 70s. These watches are not easy to find, especially where I am, and I got it for a great price since I met with a watchmaker that personally repaired or serviced part of it before selling it to me.

All in all, I am having fun with the whole aspect of hunting for watches and finding some interesting pieces. Not sure if my collection will stop for now, of if I will keep hunting some more in the future. But I do have fun collecting, and I do it without needing to ruin my bank account 😁 And I have a huge variety of watches to choose from.

For the moment I will see if I can find better straps for some watches, like the golden Quartz watch.
