Authentic Movement or not....

I saw this watch Guanqin 16034 on Aliexpress for $70 and ordered it....it was mentioned authentic Seiko NH36A movement and a lot more juicy stuff for such a low price....Sapphire...case of tungsten steel.... Is the movement an authentic one...guess so

I bought a very similar model, because I was curious myself. Yes, it's a TMI NH36A.

P.S.: Makes me wonder what Chinese manufacturers pay for these movements. It's often more economical to buy a very similar Chinese watch than to assemble one yourself.

around $38. I suspect if you order over 1,000, you can get them for 5-10% less.

Those are still prices for the international market. I would suspect they could still be lower domestically, especially with longer-term contracts.

What I'm trying to say is: They still have to turn a profit on that $70 watch, and the build quality of mine was actually very decent. No misaligned markers, no dust on the dial. (Even the bracelet wasn't completely forgettable.)

Interestingly enough $70 is in the same ballpark that Invictas with an NH35A are being offered on the grey market. So, going back to the OP's question: Yes, you can get a watch with an NH36A at that price.

I have that same Guanqin watch and yes it's a NH movement.  I actually hand brushed out the top case of the lugs and installed a fully brushed oyster bracelet to match.  Love this watch!  I've had this for almost 3 years.  Works well and built excellent.

For the money, these are some of the best watches out there at the price.
