Last 5 days to be able to participate in the initial crowdfunding campaign for this interesting watch.
Jason Chan, Loresum Founder and Designer, a UK based with Hong Kong manufacturing brand centred on non-traditional design and complications, is now out with another one of his atypical designs, possibly inspired by the likes of Greubel Forsey.
It's been a while since I was looking for an aventurine dial, and I'm game for out of the ordinary layouts. The Loresum LS03 The Moon is just too appealing to pass on and I have in fact backed the project.
This is not a moonphase watch based on a 29.5-day cycle, it relies instead on a customisation of the Myota 9015 with its calendar disc replaced by an aventurine disc with a Moon depiction.
An additional, and more complex, inhouse modification transforms the Myota calibre into a regulator, with separated unstacked indicators for minutes and hours side by side with the seconds at the centre.
Jason Chan's style is also visible in his previous work as designer for #behrens. He has a proven track record of successful projects and deliveries, and this campaign has already met its goal with over twice the necessary funding.
The watch is still available in around 10 units at Super Early Bird price of around € 600 (other tiers then available) and, after the campaign, it should be available for at least twice the amount. Delivery is expected by January.
