Do you use photoshop or helicon for focus stacking? I am just now starting to try it.
i've tried Affinity Photo, but that is very unflexible and requires alot of manual work.
the algorithm does not know where the sharp part of a picture is, when there is a dial and a crystal at different distances. e.g. the "200m" writing on the dial might be sharp at picture 8 of 20. but the crystal above the writing "200m" might be sharp in picture 4.
resulting in a fu**** up image, where you manually have to "paint" the whole dial with the sections where only the dial is sharp.
i've now switched to Focus Projects Professional. Version 3 can be had for free at computerbild.de.
you got like 9 different algorithms to play around, but the interface looks like it's out of the 90s. 😀
