Help me ID this Alpina watch?

For several years I’ve been the caretaker of my grandfather’s old watch. It is probably from the 70s or 80s, was probably quite affordable at the time (affordable enough for an assembly-line worker salary, anyways), is manually wound, and still works great despite probably never having been serviced. Some months ago I googled around to find out more about the model, the movement, etc., but I did not uncover much. But perhaps some of you know more about Alpina’s history? 🙏

Any identifying information on the caseback? I know brands (like Bulova) will use a code that helps the user identify the year of manufacture.

Three lines on the caseback I could not decipher:

Rule 1 of vintage - pop the back - the movement will tell you most of what you need to know.

Very true, what Porthole said! The thing about Alpina is that they didn’t have a lot of model names in the 1960s/1970s. They went with numbers instead. Is this a mechanical hand wind movement?

Did you also try a Google image search? I did and I believe it is a 1960s era manual wind. Automatics from that time frame mostly had the word "Automatic" on the dial. Plus, the font is from around that time. Do a search for "alpina watch 1960 gold manual wind" and prepare to scan a lot of watches!

Thanks a lot @edjmiller! I'd seen one or two auction postings before and was hoping to find a bit more than the bare-bones info they included.
